A winter weekend getaway to Mont-Tremblant isn’t complete without trying something new! Most people that are not from this area haven’t tried cross-country skiing or snowshoeing before. It’s a definite must-try on this winter trip!
There are a few great places to go cross country skiing around Mont-Tremblant – the resort, Domaine Saint-Bernard, and Parc National du Mont-Tremblant. There are no equipment rentals available at the resort, but there are at the other two locations.
For snowshoeing, there are numerous trails around the resort that range from easy to very strenuous in difficulty. There is an entrance fee if you do not rent snowshoes from the chalet.

Head Back to Your Accommodations for Some Downtime

Evening of Day 1
Go Out For Dinner
I tend to prefer the restaurants at the resort over the ones in the town for dinner. But, they tend to be a bit more on the pricey side. You can’t go wrong with going to one of the lunch spots mentioned previously, but some great dinner spots include:
- Microbrasserie La Diable
- Choux Gras
- La Petite Cachée
Check Out the Scandinavian Spa
My favourite part about visiting Mont-Tremblant is going to the spa. After a long day out in the snow, the spa is the perfect spot to relax and decompress. At Scandinave Spa Mont-Tremblant, you can partake in a traditional Scandinavian bath experience. There are multiple baths of hot, warm, and cold waters. You are meant to keep switching between the three for an optimal experience. If you’re brave, you can step into the river for the cold bath. It is freezing but it is quite the experience!
Head to the Grocery Store to Pick Up Snacks and Breakfast
While most places I travel to I like to be out of the hotel as much as possible, I tend to do the opposite at Mont-Tremblant. It could be due to the cold, but I like to think it’s because of the cozy chalets and cabins that you can stay at. Putting on comfy PJs and drinking wine by the fire is my kind of relaxing evening!
To save some money, pick up some items at the grocery store for breakfast. If your accommodation has a kitchen, you can cook up an amazing hot meal. Or, opt to pick up some items for a quick grab-and-go breakfast.
Morning of Day 2
Enjoy Breakfast You Picked up Last Night or Head to Another Breakfast Spot
I personally like to save a lot of money while I travel, so I definitely buy items for breakfast and snacks the night before! If you want to indulge in food the area has to offer on your winter weekend getaway trip, definitely head to another top breakfast restaurant!
Head Back to the Slopes or Go Tubing
If your main reason for visiting Mont-Tremblant is for skiing or snowboarding, then definitely head back this morning to make the most of your weekend! But, if you want to experience a different winter activity in Mont-Tremblant, try tubing. At the ski resort, there’s a family-friendly tubing area that is lots of fun!
Afternoon of Day 2

For your final dinner on your winter getaway at Mont-Tremblant, I would recommend going out to eat some French food. Wow, you covered so much! I also appreciate that your itinerary doesn’t include a ton of driving back and forth (especially since I’m not terribly comfortable driving in the snow). I can’t wait to check out Mont Tremblant!

There are so many things to do there! I really don’t like driving in the snow either. I would rather walk, even if it’s freezing!

Mont Tremblant looks amazing in the winter! I’ve been in the summer and again in the spring as the snow was melting, but haven’t seen it covered in snow as much!

I have yet to visit outside of winter, but I would love to!!! It can get very cold during the winter so it is challenging to stay outdoors for a long period of time.

I love Mt Tremblant in the winter. I go almost every year. One time we snowshoes up the backside and skied down the alpine trails in cross country gear a friend had brought to the summit. Wild but memorable.

That sounds like an incredible adventure!!!!

I love tremblant. I learned how to ski in that region and we would often go to Mt. Tremblant as a kid. It looks so different today but I would love to return.

Mont Tremblant looks like a winter wonderland. Even though it is close to civilization it feels so secluded and so close to nature! Would love visiting the resort village and go for skiing there.
deventuretime
It sure is a great place for skiing! The best in the area. 🙂
