Not-so-fun fact: The 1985 eruption of Nevado del Ruiz killed over 23,000 people, making it the second-deadliest volcanic disaster of the 20th century and Colombia’s worst-ever natural disaster.

We opted for an Airbnb in Armenia for the month we stayed and it made the perfect base to explore from.

But when we ventured out on this 3-day itinerary around Quindío, Colombia, we rented another Airbnb in Salento for the night and then again in Manizales. We spent the night at the Santa Rosa Termales for the third night.
