Casablanca, Morocco is a great city to spend one day exploring. It is Morocco’s largest city, is also home to the busiest airport in the country. If you’re like me and search for the cheapest flights possible, it is likely that you will land in Casablanca. The city tends to be more of a transit city, and I wouldn’t suggest spending more than a day in the city before jumping on a train to Marrakech or Tangier. It is definitely doable to explore the city highlights in a day, reaching the beautiful Hassan II Mosque on the water, visiting local markets, and trying out some local cuisine. As you search…

Japan was always a place that I wanted to experience, and I just so happened to splurge on a last minute ticket for a week-long getaway in Japan! Some of my friends had told me there was no way I could experience Japan in a single week, but I’d like to think I was able to see a lot of the sights and culture. Amazing Fall Hiking Trails Near Toronto for a Scenic City Escape
Hiking trails near Toronto are beautiful any time of the year, but especially during fall. Fall is definitely my favourite season – with all the beautiful colours, brisk air, giant sweaters, and hot beverages, whats not to love! There are pumpkin patches to visit, giant cornfields, tasty pumpkin treats, and so much more that make me look forward to this season all year long. Of course, the season definitely doesn’t last long if you happen to live in Canada! We are lucky if we get more than a month of nice fall weather before it gets really cold or rainy, unfortunately. But, it definitely makes you take advantage of the…
A Day Trip to Bruce Peninsula National Park
Bruce Peninsula National Park continues to rise in popularity due to it’s beautiful hiking trails and incredible turquoise water views of Georgian Bay (not to mention it’s an amazing day trip!). As the 156 square kilometre park is located on part of the Niagara Escarpment, there are plenty of tall cliffs made of rocks up to 400 million years old. Along with breathtaking views of the water and caves at the edge of the cliffs, there are neat rock formations along the hiking trails to both admire and climb. Bruce Peninsula National Park provides a wonderful day trip nature escape from the city, with hiking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, scuba diving,…
One Day Stopover in Lisbon, Portugal
The city of Lisbon is great to explore during a one-day stopover. If you’re looking for cheap flights from North America to Europe, it’s likely that Tap Air Portugal will be one of your top choices. I like Tap Air a lot because they typically have stopovers in Portugal, with enough time to head into the city and explore for a while. This may set some people off from booking their flights though, as most layovers can be from 6 hours to 30 hours. To me, this sounds like an exciting opportunity to explore a bit of Portugal without having to plan a full trip there! My first time in…
